Germany Reject Google for violating Copyright
12/10/2009 01:30German Chancellor Angela Merkel criticized the Internet giant Google to build its intention associated giant digital library. Merkel say, the internet should not be free from copyright law.
Merkel asked for international cooperation to protect the copyright and insisted that the German government against the intention Google digitize library books.
"The German government has a clear position, copyright should be protected on the Internet. That's why we refused to scan books without copyright protection as the Gooogle," Merkel said that was launched and quoted Reuters, Sunday (11/10/2009).
Google alone currently has digitize 10 million books. Merkel who will open the largest book fair in the world that took place in Germany, said required a more thorough discussion about the Google action.
Google plans to create a huge digital library is support much society because it allows access more extensive books to the public. But criticism also came that in this case.
