setting up IP static web server
12/12/2009 19:49Networking in my office using ip static that mean we need web server to be access to public user. and now how to settiing it up. in this case internet connection using telkom speedy with modem TP link 8817 form th emodem i connect to router wireless Dlink Dir 615. the ilustration scheme is like this
on the modem TP link make sure that NAT is activated. and set virtual server like this
- server name = web server
- service = http server
- port = 80
- Ip server = 192.168.x.x
Click Apply and save
for setting router wireless im not using WAN so the function on router wireless just like switch/HUB before doing this make sure make active wireless AccessPoint. and give the password for its AP.
its mean the gateway for networking still using gateway given by MOdem.
ip modem example=
- ip address = 192.168.10.1
- netmast= 255.255.255.0
- make sure disable DHCP server ( static is activated)
to know what is my static we use, open your favourite browser and type--> www.whatismyip.com
after we get its ip static from whatismyip.com.. try to browsing ip static we have setted in other networking just like browsing on net cafe, mobile phone or we using vpn and type on browser the ip static we get from whatismyip.com..
in my office its working perfectly.
